Sublingual Suspension Instructions
The term sublingual means to administer medication under the tongue. This form of administration has several benefits including: allowing the medication to bypass the gastrointestinal tract, creating faster and more efficient absorption, and providing a simple, easier way of taking medication.
STEP 1: WASH HANDS
Wash your hands before use and wipe down the cap of the bottle and tip of the oral syringe with an alcohol wipe.
STEP 2: DRAW OUT MEDICATION
Shake the bottle throughly. Remove the top from the bottle and insert the top of the oral syringe into the bottle adapter. Turn the bottle upside down and pull the plunger until the medicine reaches prescribed dosage.
STEP 3: DISPENSE IN MOUTH
Push out the entire prescribed solution under the tongue. Hold the medication in mouth for at least 90 seconds and then swallow.
